D-Town Farm Hosts Fifth Annual Harvest Festival
“Healthy Soil, Healthy People, Healthy Planet”

Come join the Detroit Black Community Food Security Network at its model 2 acre urban farm to share in this celebration of community sustainability. Featuring something for everyone, adults and children can participate in valuable and timely learnshops such as container gardening, composting, raw food, and beekeeping and honey production. hands-on learnshops, cooking demonstrations, children's activities, a fresh food market place, and more.
Families can enjoy touring D-Town Farm’s operation which includes organic vegetable plots, two bee hives, hoop houses for year round food production, and a composting operation. Our produce is grown using sustainable, chemical-free practices, and sold at D-Town farm, Eastern Market, and urban growers markets throughout Detroit.
